Hi Team,
Our hard working course workers have done a great job improving the drainage in fron of the green at number 5 this week.
Thank you very much team.
The area is roped off from play and should be treated as G.U.R. If your ball goes in, retrieve your ball, take a free drop, no closer to the hole, then continue to play it under Rule 16.1B.

The course is still busy, so please make sure you book a tee time for yourselves via the Proshop (09) 4028207 or on-line www.golf.co.nz or the Golf NZ App.

Waitangi 18 Hole Men’s Open
Winner - Best Net Across Field
73 players competed in the Waitangi Men’s Open on Saturday. We had a great mix of Waitangi members and Visitors, some traveling from Auckland to play in the Event.
It was a Sunny Autumnal day with not a breath of wind we could not have asked for better playing conditions.
We were inundated with comments on the excellent condition of the course and greens. It was a proud day the be the involved with the Waitangi Golf Club.
However it was tough scoring, there were only 10 scores of handicap or better. The pace of greens caught many players off guard. Well-done to all prize winner and all those involved with organising the day
Pennants
Waitangi hosted the 36 hold pennants at Waitangi on Sunday. Once again there were Echo’s through the field of the great condition that the course had been presented.
Although overnight and morning rain took a bit of the string out of the greens compared to Saturday’s Open the course still presented a challenge to players.
Unfortunately, our team lost to Bay of Island 8-2. The boys suffered 3 defeats in the morning foursomes. Whilst there were some good scores in the afternoon this only translated into 2 wins in the singles.
The next Round is at Carrington on Saturday the Team is; Conrad King, Neil Stokes, Miles Richards, Paul Moffat, Colin Te Hira and Ian Garvey.
